I know about 23 couples that are engaged right now . . . that is not an exaggeration. I counted! It is fun being able to chat at work with people about wedding plans or ideas, calling an old friend and finding out how their planning is coming along, and SHARING IDEAS. I have learned so many tips and tricks from people who are ahead of me in planning . . . or sometimes even behind me in planning. Obviously one of the reasons blogs are so amazing. I have found so many things that I want to do or make myself.
Anyway, one of my engaged friends, Alexa, found a pillow online that she wanted to buy. Don't get me wrong, I love Etsy, but when I see something I know I can make myself, I just have to do it. (Probably why I have committed myself to way too many DIY projects) For someone that can't do it themselves $14.99 is a great price for a ring bearer pillow! And I could recommend this shop to anyone, very cute stuff!
Well, this weekend, I went to Joanns, picked up some satin and made this pillow in about half an hour! I even added a strap like this one (shown below), so that it would be easy to hold on to.
