Father/Daughter and Mother/Son Dances

I knew I wanted to dance with my Dad to an Alison Krauss song . . . so I picked "The Lucky One."

It is a sweet song, although the lyrics don't really relate to any father/daughter moments . . . but Alison Krauss has always been a favorite of my Dad and mine and she just always reminds me of him. It was actually pretty amazing that my Dad actually could dance. Remember?? But he decided he had waited long enough and wanting to have the wedding day for me that he always pictured as well.
He did step on my toe once in his big boot . . . it was only kinda bad!
So much fun.

M danced with his Mom to Harvest Moon by Neil Young.

It is such a sweet song, and his Mom was so excited to dance with him.

First Dance

Our first dance! We both really wanted to dance to "Our Song" because we actually have one, and we love it. The only problem . . . "Our Song" is super, super, fast!!


It may not sound like a super romantic song, but the lyrics are super cute!

When M and I first were dating we both drove cars with stickshifts and bucket-seats . . . so I would always sing this song. Anyway . . . here are some pics (and again I will have some video of it soon as well - wish I was more on top of things lately!!)
We basically did a swing dance.
With a lot of twirls and spins.
I stepped on my own dress about 50 times.
And, we forgot the routine.
But I think it turned out cute!!

Wedding Dance

I don't know why but I love these videos where the couple do fun first dances. I don't think my fiance is going to agree to do it, but I wish he would. My Aunt, aka my officiant, sent this one to me. It looks like none of the dances would be too hard to do, which is good for a tall, uncoordinated girl like myself. Enjoy!
