Small Details

So, I realized I really need to finish up showing you all the details of my wedding. It was now over 6 months ago, so I am behind the mark. I have a bunch of small details that I should be able to post quickly, so I will see what I can get out in this busy life of mine.

So . . . here is the first little detail. My mom and I bought fabric to make table squares, not runners, but cute little squares. I love all the fabric, which is good because I still have all of it to play with now.
Pretty huh?? You remember seeing it on the tables?
Just a bit of extra color! I love it! And good thing I guess.

Flower Boxes

I love these flower boxes. They are rustic and pretty. They would have fit right in with our wedding . . . but they look hand made, which means a lot more work!
Aren't they pretty??
I originally thought they were planted flowers, but it looks like there are little vases inside the boxes.

Oh this cute wedding has sweet wood cookie cake stands too!!

When I first saw the wood cookie cake stands I fell in love, hence why I had one of my own. But, I never thought to use one as a guest book!!
Found via Stylish Events. Now I only wish I could see a pic of the finished bench that they made this into!

I kinda LOVE this!

So . . . I think this is really cool! Beer in a Bathtub. I already showed you some pretty bathtubs with brides in them . . . and even took some myself, but beer in a bathtub seems even cooler!Found via Tried and True

More Details

So here are so more details!!! Mostly pre-wedding and ceremony decor.

Here are two different shots of our pretty little B&B. It looked so cute with all the tents set up in the yard!!

The ceremony space. Our pretty ribbons and greenery for the archway.
Friends getting everything set up. Signs, signs, signs. I think there are pictures of most of the signs except for the two that were out by the road!!
I love this one with the little flower bucket on it! Our guestbook! The fun guitar pics we had made. I don't know if I ever showed this either, but I stamped pages on the inside of the guestbook for people to write. I think they look cute.
Yay!! People signing the guestbook. And my hand made escort cards.
The programs that M put together. I think they turned out so pretty!
And of course our moveable shade!! We didn't really need it though.
The isle flowers on shepherd hooks.
And flower cones!!

It is amazing how everything came together. Not only how everything got set up, but how each individual item looked so good with all the other details!

I wish

I wish I had seen this before the wedding (or really before I had bought my guest book - although I love my guest book!). I just think that I could have gotten all my guests to do this So cool, don't you think?? Found on Classic Bride.

What went wrong

So, I figured I would start with this so I could get it off my chest and move on with the fun stuff. Here is my list of what went wrong:

1. The lanterns didn't get put in the port-o-potties . . . so my guests had to "go" in the dark all night. Because of this, my bathroom baskets were unused completely.

2. The beautifully written table number chalk boards didn't make it onto the tables (why someone couldn't have asked what the pile of chalkboards was for, I have no idea). This is what my mom was most upset over. Not only did she spend months going to Michael's to buy each chalkboard one by one with a 40% off coupon, but a good friend of the family made them look so pretty!!

3. The cake was supposed to have three layers of filling in each layer of cake - it only had one - and the filling is my favorite part.

4. My cake toppers were left off the top of the cake - instead just a pile of flowers - which my mom absolutely hates!! (But I thought it still looked pretty)

5. No one tossed the flower petals that were hanging in the cones on the back of chairs as we walked back down the isle (well, someone did, cuz I saw something fly by me when I was walking)

6. The caterer decided not to bring shrimp even though we had it at the tasting and had agreed to it as our final menu.

7. Somehow no formal pictures were taken with one of the flower girls. Because the other one is M's niece we have some with her in the family pictures . . . but somehow we don't have one with us and the flower girls and ring bearer (which I wanted). Oh well I guess . . . I know I am holding her in the big group picture!!

8. Not a big deal, but the parasols weren't really needed because it wasn't nearly as sunny as we had originally expected. I was wanting to see the cute pictures with people holding the umbrellas . . . oh also, it was actually expected to rain so we rented a few tents for the ceremony . . . so I had a kind of outdoor ceremony, under tents . . . this one really didn't bother me that much.

9. The dance floor . . . first, when they were delivering it, they didn't bring enough plywood for the whole floor, so we had to make the floor smaller (0f course they refunded some of the cost), then on the big day, the whole thing was falling apart, we ended up not even using it and used the lawn behind the head table as our dance floor . . . I think it actually worked out better, so again not a big deal (plus they refunded us for the entire floor!)

10. And the biggest one, that makes me want to cry . . . the ceremony did not get filmed! Somehow it had caused a bunch of drama a couple days before - although I am still not sure how - so on the day of I just didn't even bring it up, although now I wish I had. We had everyone laughing and crying. It really was the perfect ceremony and I wish more than anything it had been filmed. I don't think I will be able to forget this issue for . . . forever. It seriously makes me so sad. I wish we could have had the speeches filmed as well, they were particularly funny, oh well I guess!

Anyway . . . I should get the professional pictures back in about a month more, I will get some of the ones on my camera up soon!!

A must

Something you rarely ever think about with weddings is where your guests are going to go to the bathroom! Because we are getting married at a small B&B that is basically someones home, we had to make sure we had a place for everyone to go . . . thus came potty rentals!!!

Now, I wish we could rent some like this:

(Image from Flickr)

But, these luxury trailer bathrooms can cost thousands of dollars!! Can you believe that?? Thousands of dollars?? Anyway . . . ares are going to look more like this . . . I know, not the best thing you have ever seen, but what can you do? At least they say they are steam cleaned!!!

(Images from Best Pots)

Now, you may wonder why we have three different toilets . . . the first is for the men, the second women, and the third is handicap. Seems weird, I know, but I feel even weirder explaining why . . . obviously the handicap on is bigger and easier to get around in for those who may need it. The other two . . . well . . . the one for the men has a urinal. Apparently when one of those is missing there can be splatter (god boys are gross!!) . . . so we got the pretty one for the women. I think it wont be that bad . . . with how few people we will have at the wedding, they wont be anything like concert potties!!

Plus we got some things to gussy them up . . . pretty soap and lotion, lanterns for when it gets dark, and some nice sinks!!

I think it will be ok . . . don't you?? It is a necessity I guess . . .

Escort Cards

So I have been working on my escort cards . . . and I think they are really cute. This was my original inspiration . . . and mine are very very similar . . .
(Image from Snippet & Ink)
Here are mine . . .

They are polka-dot vellum over an olive branch print from Paper-Source. Plus some pretty brown and white bakers twine. Of course they are going to be hung up with mini clothes pins!! And you want to see what they will be hanging on?? It's a very cool stand . . . made with old fence wood and chicken wire!

Pretty huh?? Getting more excited by the moment. Just need to finish the last few cards for a few surprise guests!!
