Frame your guests

I think this is such a fun idea for a photo guest book. Provide picture frames for your guests to use in the photos.

I think my guest book wont really work as a photo guest book, but I still might try to find a way for my guests to take pictures like this.

Dress shopping 4

Because of my budget constraints I figured I had to try David's Bridal. I did find a couple cute dresses though!!
Wow . . . that is a great face!

Now you can't really tell in this pictures . . . or really any of the pictures (1, 2, 3) but most are about 5 inches to short. I am 5'11 so with any dress I was figuring about $100 to $200 more on the cost of any dress just to add length. Looking at this last dress from David's Bridal . . . it was around $900, plus $100 for extra length. Also, at David's Bridal in order to get extra length you have to order a plus sized dress . . . I am not sure why this is, but it really pisses me off. That is also an extra $100. Then because I am not really a plus sized girl (I'm just tall) I would have to get the dress altered back down to my size . . . that would probably be another $100 to $200. So this $900 David's Bridal Dress would cost me $1200 to $1300 before taxes!! This is not ok! I somehow had in my head that I can get a dress for around $1000 . . . but if a DB dress was going to cost me $1300 . . . I had to rethink!!

Purple Hydrangea

I love this purple hydrangea inspiration board from Snippet & Ink. It is from back in April, and I have been keeping it around. Just thought I would share it!!

Some Cake-spiration.

So . . . our cake is going to be a bit like all of these cakes. The bottom layer is going to to look like lace, hopefully like the lace on my dress, the middle layer is going to have our little olive branch design (like in my blog title) - it is going to be kind of like our monogram, and then the top layer is just going to have polka dots. Plus there will be some hydrangea placed on and around the cake!! I hope it will be pretty!!

I {Heart} Clothes Pins!

I love the look of mini clothes pins, especially for escort cards. I think I already mentioned this, but this is what I am borrowing as inspiration for my escort cards. Here are some other fun clothes pin ideas as well. (Images: 1. Snippet & Ink 2. Style Me Pretty 3. The Knot 4. The Knot 5. Oh So Beautiful Paper 6. Oh So Beautiful Paper 7. Unknown 8. Unknown 9. Yay!! Wedding Bands!!!!

The last time I was in Portland we got our wedding bands back and they are amazing!!! Of course I took about a million photos . . . here are some of them.
Our matching bands!
All of the rings.
My engagement ring in an iris. Irises are my favorite flowers ever!!! The day before the irises were all closed up ready to bloom, and the day we went to pick up the bands this one iris had popped open. Amazing!
The bands in the iris.
So here are the bands again, along with my grandmothers wedding band. Do you remember how bad it looked before?? It is practically a new ring. Absolutely amazing!!
All the rings hanging on a twig. Where have you seen that before??
The bands in lilacs. Have you smelled lilacs lately?? Wonderful!!
My three rings in the lilac!!

Aren't those beautiful?? They make me so happy!!!! Oh all the pics are by me!

My Ring Pillow

So I finally made my own Ring Bearer Pillow. I wanted to have lace on it, so I layered ancelon lace over some brown organza, then added a little brown ribbon!! I of course added the special elastic band across the back so it will stay on M's nephews little hand easily!! Here are the pictures!

(Images by Me)

I had to take a pic of my engagement ring on there!! You guys like it? I think it is pretty? I wonder if anyone else would buy it? Maybe I should start an Etsy shop. I have a ton of the lace left!
