I won something cool!

I won a giveaway . . . always an exciting fact!

It is a wall decal from UPrinting from Bridechka!! I told my . . . husband (it is still fun to stay), about it, so we just need to decide what we want the decal to be. Our honeymoon?? A fun wedding photo? Our little olive branch logo? We will have to see. I will let you know what we decide on!!

How the back came together

So here is the evolution of the back of my dress!!

This is a nice little change as well. The shape basically stayed exactly the same, but the skirt definitely changed!!

MY WEDDING PHOTOS!!

So, I have seen my wedding photos, but I don't have the files yet (nor am I really sure when I am gonna get them!!) So, hopefully it will be soon, so I can start some recaps!! So exciting to see everything.

In the mean time, can you believe that a week before the wedding the whether forecast was calling for scattered thunderstorms??? Perfect day!!

The Evolution of the Dress

I really should have planned ahead and taken a straight on shot of the dress before and after every appointment. So much changed at each visit, as well as in between visits. Oh well . . . I guess I will just have to live with what I got. Pretty amazing transformation though. I am so glad I got to do this. Thank you to my wonderful mother!!

Amazing to see this all in one go . . . still can't believe how it all came together so beautifully. I think I am going to have to do another montage of the back!!

The Coolest Invites Ever

So, I love my wedding invitations, but these have to be the coolest wedding invites ever!!! If I could have afforded something like this it would have been amazing to do!!
First of all, I love wine . . . plus I love those wooden wine boxes (I have a couple of them). How amazing to be able to send all of your guests such a unique and memorable wedding invite!! They will get to enjoy the wine, and have a little memento in the box!! So cool. I will have to remember this for some big party in the future (although on a much smaller scale). I cannot imagine what it would cost for about 100 of these babies!!

Dress Appt #9

Ok . . . the final appointment!! Yay . . . I actually get to take the dress home. And you all get to see the final product . . . although it looked pretty finished last week too!

We added the scallop to the neckline, I think it softened it up a bit. Very very pretty. Pretty seems to be the only word I can use to describe this dress! I just love it so much!

It really was the perfect dress for me. I loved being able to be part of the whole process. You always hear about brides who forget exactly what their dress looks like on them . . . I got to see the whole thing come together. It was probably one of my favorite parts of the whole wedding thing . . . getting to be part of the making of my dress. I totally recommend it to anyone and everyone. Especially Sara!

Dress Appt #8

Almost my last dress appointment!! There were just a few minor additions at this appointment . . . buttons, a bit more lace on the front, and fixing the straps so they would stay where they are supposed to stay. So pretty . . . hope you enjoy the pics.

My cute dressmaker!

I love the post from my dressmaker the day after I picked up my dress. Super cute!! Plus, she mentioned my little blog. So nice of her!!

I'm finishing up all of my dresses in the next few weeks, and just sent one of my favorites out the door yesterday!
Oh, who am I kidding? I love all my babies equally!
I can't wait for all of the photos to come rolling in, this year's batch of dresses were all really unique and challenging in their own way. Here's a link to Cat's blog, who I sent out the door yesterday. She's getting hitched on Saturday, so I should have some great pics of it soon. Cat was on the ball and has posted pictures from the entire process along the way, so you can kind of see each step we took to get to the final product!
Cat's dress: a v-neck dropped waist A-line ballgown, with alencon lace detailing on the bodice, and a gathered soft organza skirt and strap.
Up next in the next few weeks:
Cathy's dress: a discerning mother, with 4-ply turquoise crepe de chine cocktail dress and bolero jacket, accented with a fun paisley lining and a braid at the neckline.
Sara's gown: Halter style gown with a modified A-line, ruching accent at the waistline, and back strap detail. We're still looking for a fun sparkly applique for the front!
Kelley's gown: A wide V-neck with a low V in the back, a fit-and-flare shape, with graduated ruching shoulder to hem! Gorgeous!
Jenn's gown: a strapless mermaid cut 'a la Eva Longoria (below), with tulle overlay and an asymmetrical neckline detail, and tulle flowers down the back!

And seriously . . . I know my dress was one of her favorites!! And I am going to miss seeing her every few weeks. Maybe I will ask her to get a drink the next time I am home! Oh, and I have to share another detail . . . she gave her dog a middle name . . . Marshall . . . after my husband!!
