Did everyone see the wedding favors over at A Windy City Bride??

Each wines stopper was handmade by the bride's dad!!! I am going to make M learn wood crafting so he can do this for our daughter some day. I just love these so much!!

I want a picture of my dress hanging outside like this one!! I am sure there is a view at the B&B where this would be possible. Isn't it pretty??

To Do List Update #4

These are probably really boring for you guys but they are really helping me to stay organized and get things done, so just skip by if you don't care!! (I wont hold it against you!)

1. Create and Print programs (paper, print, put together) ME
2. Put favors together (purchase wax, dry rosemary, put oil and rosemary in bottles, seal with wax) MOM
3. Order jam for OOT bags, and everything else that is needed (snacks, brochures) ME
4. Create Music List, send to DJ ME
5. Make cones for tossing (cut, put together, add ribbon) MARSH
6. Sew bag for Deanna
7. Make "Wedding" signs (MOM!)
8. Create Seating Chart
9. Make table squares (MOM!)
10. Gifts for people helping (2nd Reader, childcare)
11. Stamps for guest book (order stamps, stamp guestbook) ME
12. Petticoats for Flower Girl dresses - I think this is going to be removed from the list
13. List of events for bridal party
14. Schedule of the day for vendors ME - almost done
15. Collect coolers for wine!
16. Assign jobs for day of ME
17. Finish escort cards ME
18. Figure out what I want ceremony musicians to play
19. Finalize details about honeymoon (I will tell you more later)
20. Find Readings for Ceremony ME and MARSH
21. Ribbon for archway and tall tables (cut ribbon) ME and MOM

23. Make Signs for reserved seats at ceremony, for flip flops, drink choices ME

27. OOT Bags - somehow this managed to make its way back on my list (order bags, buy iron on transfer paper, print design, iron on) ME

• Directions from B&B to my parents house, print for everyone, bring to rehearsal

Children's Entertainment

There are going to be quite a few children at the wedding so I wanted to come up with some ways to keep them entertained throughout the evening. My mom has a teacher friend that has agreed to be a children's entertainer, but because so many of the kids are under 3, I am not sure if they will want to be away from their parents or not.

Anyway, for most of the kids I am going to have coloring books and crayons at their seat at the table. I forget where I originally found the downloads of the coloring books . . . but this is the front page. I changed the book a little bit, but for the most part it is the same as the original downloads. Still not sure what I am going to do for the baby babies (those under 1, there will be two newborns!), but I am sure I will figure it out at some point.

I am going to do something like this with the crayons . . . tie them with a ribbon and add a little name tag.

And some books! Plus, the whole event is going to be outside, so I am sure they will just run around till they pass out. Anyone else doing something special for the kiddos??

Ring Bearer Suit

So apparently they really only sell toddler suits in black, navy, and maybe gray . . . well to get anything affordable. We thought about renting one, but that would have been about $60 too . . . not really what I want. Anyway . . . I finally found this cute little outfit with a vest and a tie!! It is dark brown, so it should fit right in with the wedding party . . . and with the little lavender tie, he will look perfect with the flower girls!! Super cute!

Well I like it. Can't wait to see everything together all in one place!!

Log Cake Stands

I found another kid of log cake stand. It is a bit different then the ones I showed before, but it is also super pretty.

A good friend of the family gave us a couple slices of log . . . so now I have to decide on the thickness I want and also if I like the more rustic look, or this smoother sanded look. Any thoughts?

Numbering RSVPs

I saw this post on Martha Stewart and it made me laugh . . . everything I have read says to number your RSVPs, and I kept thinking, who would send back an RSVP without a name on it?? Well, I decided to number them anyway and I am so glad I did. We have gotten back three without names on it (although it said things like congratulations, or sorry we can't come), a couple that didn't mark if they were coming or not, and one that was completely blank no name, no response, no nothing. Ha! I won't embarrass the forgetful ones, but seriously to anyone who is getting married, NUMBER YOUR RSVPS!!!!
