Recycled Paper Votive Cuffs

I love my Delight.com Daily e-mail, do you guys get this e-mail? Well, they are this neat site with a bunch of Eco-friendly products, and everyday they have a special promotion . . . today they featured these Recycled Paper Votive Cuffs.

(All Images from Delight.com)

I think they would make super cute decorations at your wedding . . . or luminaries leading the way to something (like the bathrooms at my wedding!!). And actually the leaves would fit in really well with my Olive theme. Anyway . . . if you guys love them they are on sale till 11:59 am CST, tomorrow for $13.18 for 4.

People are gonna hate me, I won again

So, I won some very cute earrings from Agapantha NYC, from a random contest at iDIY. They have great little DIY projects and ideas regularly. Very fun blog.
Here is what they look like! So pretty, right??

Wedding Guitar Picks

I came up with a cute idea . . . get our design printed on guitar picks. I found a couple sites that do this sort of thing . . . so if you have a guy that that plays guitar this is kind of a fun gift. I got ours from Clayton. Their site was super easy to use. You can pick background colors, fonts, upload images, whatever you want. Anyway . . . here is what I designed.

(Images from the Clayton website)
And they turned out great. M wants to keep all of them (I think we got 200) . . . I told him he was going to have to let some go to our wedding guests. So . . . make sure you pick one up at the wedding - unless you want to donate it back to Marshall!!!

Aren't they fun?? I really like them!!

I love this Wedding #7

Another wedding that I love. This one was found on Style Me Pretty and it is the work of Jose Villa. And it really is so pretty. I found this wedding a long time ago, and kept some of the ideas till now (I am borrowing a lot of them!!) Here are the pictures:
So, here is one of the things I am doing . . . parasols . . . although I don't think I necessarily found the idea here, it is still cute here.
I love this slice of tree cake stand. My mom apparently knows someone who can get me one, so she is working on this. I love it so much, so I am super excited about it!!
Love the lace or doily or whatever it is on the napkin. I am doing something similar, I think it is really sweet and pretty. I'm not making pretty candles like this, but I do love them!!!
Oh I just love this wedding. It is just so pretty. I want my wedding to be pretty and fun . . . oh I am so excited.

I {Heart} Flip Flops!

This time I made a canvas about Flip Flops. I love the idea of providing guest flip flops so that they can take off their "dress-up" shoes and relax a bit. Especially because we are trying to have a pretty casual wedding, the flip flops fit right into the mix!! Enjoy the pretty board.

Hair, part 1

I am so lucky to have a friend that does hair. My brother's girlfriend, Deanna, has offered to do my hair for the wedding, which is exciting in so many different ways. For one, she will be able to spend the day with me, my bridesmaids, and my family. It is going to be so much fun to have her there all day. And Two, we can do as many practice rounds of hair as we need to figure out what I actually might like best. When I was home in January, we did the first hair test. I know that I want my hair up, because it is hot in August, but I am not 100% on what I want it to look like. I don't want something that is too tight and harsh, but I also don't want something that doesn't look like me.

Anyway, for my first trial, my inspiration came from A Backyard Wedding.

It is basically two buns, one kind of below the other. Here is what Deanna created:
I think it is actually really pretty. Deanna didn't use any hairspray or anything, so it would be much cleaner at the wedding, but I really liked it. Not to tight or anything, still looked like me. Definitely a major possibility!!

Rings!!

So, when I was up in Portland I put in the order for our weddings bands. Yay . . . the official representation of our wedding!!! We have been looking around for awhile, but we fell in love with some that we saw at Alchemy when we got stuck in Portland back in November. This is what they look like:
M's is going to look basically exactly like this . . . mine is going to look the same, just a lot skinnier. The reason it is going to be so skinny is because I have my grandmothers wedding band that I am going to be using as well, and it is super skinny. And if I am going to be wearing three rings I would rather not have them fill up my entire finger!! Alchemy is actually doing some restoration on my grandmothers ring as well. It needs to be resized, because my grandma was a size 4.5!?!?! Can you believe that?? That is tiny! I wear a 6.5, so they are going to add a few diamonds to help fill in the space (it is an eternity band). Plus, they are going to do retipping, so that everything stays in securely. Here is a picture of the ring now, I think it is going to look a lot better after the restoration. The guys who work there are so nice and so helpful! They were just genuinely excited to work on my grandmas ring as well. I am so excited to get to see everything!!

Hairpieces 4 - My favorite

So Myra at Twigs & Honey has to be my favorite!! Her pieces are so cute and so pretty and I am just in love. Plus, she is a local Portlander . . . so it makes me want to buy from her even more!! Got to love those local businesses!! You can read her blog here . . . or check out her Etsy store here. She does a ton of custom pieces . . . so it is fun to know you will get something unique. I had sent her a message on Etsy a long time ago, but she is so busy I didn't hear back from her. But not too long ago, she actually put a message on my blog offering to do a custom piece for me . . . she probably has some love for the local Portlander as well!! So I am taking her up on this offer. My favorites from her are these three . . . so I am sure it is going to be pretty.

I will let you all know how it turns out. So exciting!!!
