Best Ring Pic Ever!

I think I found the best ring pic ever!! Well, at least for M and Me! Wish we would have had one like this . . . maybe I will play around with our rings here!!

Isn't that a neat pic?? Oh man, is it just me?? I love it! Found it on Elizabeth Anne Designs.

Pretty Jewelry

If I didn't already own the most perfect Engagement Ring I would want to try one of these babies on! It actually reminds me a lot of my ring, not sure why, but it does. They also have other rings as well. I am not big into the Pave setting, but if you are, they have those as well.
Or how about an eternity ring??I guess the best part is that you can get some matching earrings or a necklace for your wedding day! Very pretty!! You can also get a matching bangle . . . which I would actually like just on its own. Honey are you reading??
AND!! How about some matching cufflinks for the hubby!! Maybe I am a big dork, but if your engagement ring matched your Groom's cufflinks, that would make for some cute pics!

Anyway, Everon is making some fun jewelry so you should check it out!

More Ring Pictures!!

As I am waiting for my own ring pictures from my photographer I am oogling the others that people have been posting latly. What is funny is that before I really started getting into the blog world I never understood ring pictures . . . now . . . I love them!! So . . . enjoy these from Soolip and Inspired by This.

Aren't they pretty??? Oh I wonder what Alyssa did with ours!!!

I'm still amazed.

When people write about me/my blog on their blog it still amazes me. Bridechka posted about my hankies up on Weddzilla!! Just want to say thanks!! And I am glad she likes my hankies!

Thought I would share a little gem from her blog as well . . . some fun cufflinks!
Apparently an Etsy find. Super cool, especially if the print could be your own. Speaking of that Tirana Jewelry does just that with their skin rings.
M and I almost did these for our wedding bands. His would have had my palm print and mine would have had M's. I think they have such a great sentiment, plus they look really really cool!

More gifts

For Deanna, my brothers girlfriend, who is doing my hair and makeup, as well as my bridesmaids hair . . . I have gotten her tons of presents!! Ha!

First I bought her these really cool earrings from Orange Slice . . .
They are wooden, and super cool! I love them and actually have a pair that I wear all the time!

Next I made her a really cool Amy Buttler bag! It is actually the same one that I carry on a daily basis, although with different fabric. I love hers though!!

Pretty pockets on the inside!!

Then my final gift to her . . . is actually getting to stay at our B&B. M and I have decided not to stay there (I thought it was kind of funny to have to wait for every single one of our guests to leave in order to go to bed - or enjoy our wedding night), so . . . we actually got a suite at the little inn near by. It has a whirlpool tub and a king bed . . . I think it will be nice!! So, offering the room to Deanna and my bro seemed like a nice plan! Plus, it is such a cute place, sad to let it go to waste.

Anyway . . . I hope she likes all these things, she sure is giving up a lot for me!

Jewelry

I love my wedding jewelry. I think it is a little traditional, a little non-traditional, but beautiful all the same. I bought earrings and a bracelet. I decided that I didn't want to wear a necklace because somehow I feel like more bling just isn't me. I want my wedding to feel a bit more casual, so loosing a necklace makes me feel a little less formal. The saleswoman actually described my earrings as "oh these might be too casual." Naturally they were perfect. And I will totally wear them again!!! Both have pearls (which to me makes them a little more traditional), plus I am a June baby, so I love pearls.

They are both from a small jewelry store in Portland called Dana Lynn. They sell all locally made jewelry and purses, which is right up my alley. I love them. What do you think??

Yay!! Wedding Bands!!!!

The last time I was in Portland we got our wedding bands back and they are amazing!!! Of course I took about a million photos . . . here are some of them.
Our matching bands!
All of the rings.
My engagement ring in an iris. Irises are my favorite flowers ever!!! The day before the irises were all closed up ready to bloom, and the day we went to pick up the bands this one iris had popped open. Amazing!
The bands in the iris.
So here are the bands again, along with my grandmothers wedding band. Do you remember how bad it looked before?? It is practically a new ring. Absolutely amazing!!
All the rings hanging on a twig. Where have you seen that before??
The bands in lilacs. Have you smelled lilacs lately?? Wonderful!!
My three rings in the lilac!!

Aren't those beautiful?? They make me so happy!!!! Oh all the pics are by me!

Look what my Fiance Made!!

So . . . my brother's girlfriend mentioned awhile back that a friend of hers had a peg board to hang all her jewelry. I thought this was an awesome idea so I told M about it! And here it is!!
I wish I had taken before and after pictures because my dresser was just piled with stuff. Tons of little boxes filled with necklaces and jewelry and everything!!! There are still quite a few boxes on the dresser, but it is soooooooooo much better!! Plus now I can see (and remember) all my jewelry and decide what to wear. Thanks Deanna for the recommendation.

People are gonna hate me, I won again

So, I won some very cute earrings from Agapantha NYC, from a random contest at iDIY. They have great little DIY projects and ideas regularly. Very fun blog.
Here is what they look like! So pretty, right??

Rings!!

So, when I was up in Portland I put in the order for our weddings bands. Yay . . . the official representation of our wedding!!! We have been looking around for awhile, but we fell in love with some that we saw at Alchemy when we got stuck in Portland back in November. This is what they look like:
M's is going to look basically exactly like this . . . mine is going to look the same, just a lot skinnier. The reason it is going to be so skinny is because I have my grandmothers wedding band that I am going to be using as well, and it is super skinny. And if I am going to be wearing three rings I would rather not have them fill up my entire finger!! Alchemy is actually doing some restoration on my grandmothers ring as well. It needs to be resized, because my grandma was a size 4.5!?!?! Can you believe that?? That is tiny! I wear a 6.5, so they are going to add a few diamonds to help fill in the space (it is an eternity band). Plus, they are going to do retipping, so that everything stays in securely. Here is a picture of the ring now, I think it is going to look a lot better after the restoration. The guys who work there are so nice and so helpful! They were just genuinely excited to work on my grandmas ring as well. I am so excited to get to see everything!!

Hairpieces 4 - My favorite

So Myra at Twigs & Honey has to be my favorite!! Her pieces are so cute and so pretty and I am just in love. Plus, she is a local Portlander . . . so it makes me want to buy from her even more!! Got to love those local businesses!! You can read her blog here . . . or check out her Etsy store here. She does a ton of custom pieces . . . so it is fun to know you will get something unique. I had sent her a message on Etsy a long time ago, but she is so busy I didn't hear back from her. But not too long ago, she actually put a message on my blog offering to do a custom piece for me . . . she probably has some love for the local Portlander as well!! So I am taking her up on this offer. My favorites from her are these three . . . so I am sure it is going to be pretty.

I will let you all know how it turns out. So exciting!!!
