I love my wedding jewelry. I think it is a little traditional, a little non-traditional, but beautiful all the same. I bought earrings and a bracelet. I decided that I didn't want to wear a necklace because somehow I feel like more bling just isn't me. I want my wedding to feel a bit more casual, so loosing a necklace makes me feel a little less formal. The saleswoman actually described my earrings as "oh these might be too casual." Naturally they were perfect. And I will totally wear them again!!! Both have pearls (which to me makes them a little more traditional), plus I am a June baby, so I love pearls.

They are both from a small jewelry store in Portland called Dana Lynn. They sell all locally made jewelry and purses, which is right up my alley. I love them. What do you think??

Dress Appt #1

I finally told you my plans for my dress. I am just going to post all the pictures from my appointments because I am not really sure how to choose which ones to show you. For my first appointment Sara had made a very simple, too short, base pattern. It is made out of muslin, which is like the cheapest fabric you can buy, and Sara is using to to make a pattern for my actual dress. It is pretty amazing how fast you can start to see "My Dress."

I love the lanterns as well. They are a really nice decorative element!!

I {Heart} Adirondack Chairs!

Growing up we always had Adirondack chairs in our backyard. I love all these pictures of couples in Adirondack chairs . . . it definitely gives off that casual summer summer that I love. Don't know if I will have anything like this or not, but it is cute!!

Don't they look like they are having fun with the bean bags?? Well, we bought two games of Washers. Have you all ever played?? If you went to college in the Midwest you probably know . . . we always played at tailgates and whatnot. So much fun. I am sure some of our guests will play, plus it is easy enough for kids to play as well. I found some pre-made washer sets at Walmart for $25 each. Sweet deal!! I am super excited.

So, the question is . . . should I make quilts?? You all know I can make a quilt and I think it would be really nice to have people hanging out around the yard at the B&B. Well, if I make them or not there will still be a very special quilt that I for sure want to have at the wedding! It even has a name. The Big Red Blanket. My family used it my entire childhood. Picnics, concerts, at the beach, camping. I have so many memories of this quilt, and I really would love to have some pictures of me and my new husband all dressed up having a moment on the beautiful quilt. Plus, with all the kids that are going to be there, it will be a nice place for them to play as well!!! Isn't it pretty?? The Big Red Blanket in all it's glory!!
