Chalkboards

I told you all awhile back that I loved the look of chalkboards at weddings. Well, my mom has been going to Michaels every week or so to buy a couple of these chalkboards (with coupons) so that we can use them as table numbers.

We are also looking for a slightly bigger one for the bar menu and another for a note at the guest book table. Then we are also looking for a really large one to do the dinner menu on! I am really excited about all of this!! Plus, you get to see a cute picture of the kitten my brother and I got my mom for her last birthday. You can't really tell now, but that kitten is going to get big! She is a Maine Coon, and they can get to be gigantic . . . check the link to some pictures . . . it is amazing!!

I love my Mom!! She has been so helpful with all the wedding stuff. I think she might be doing more work than I am! I wish I could have been in Portland to spend the day with her, but that couldn't be worked out. I will be there next weekend though, so that should be fun!! Hope you all enjoyed your days with your moms!

All I can say is WOW!

In Martha Stewart's Daily Wedding E-mail a couple days ago were these amazing beaded flowers! Seriously, all I can say is WOW!! How cool. I am not sure if that is something that I would want to do with my time, but what an amazing result!! And I love the boutonnieres!!!

Irises Are My Favorite

Irises are my favorite, but not the little Japanese ones, but the big beautiful bearded ones. So, when I saw these pretty bouquets made with the "big" irises . . . well, it actually made me sad . . . I can't have the large irises in August. But they are super pretty anyway!!! See for yourself.

Anyone looking for cute lighting?? It might be a little bit expensive to use to decorate your entire reception, but I am sure you could find a place for them somewhere. And you could totally use them again!! I love them!

I told you my mom was on a mission! Well, if you are on a similar one, I found another cool wooden cake stand! It is pretty huh??
There are even some DIY instructions!! And apparently it will only cost you about $6!!

My Mom is on a mission

So . . . I love these slices of wood as cake stands . . . have you guys seen them?? They seem to be becoming more and more popular. I first one I found was actually was one of the first pictures I ever put in the "Wedding Ideas - Keep File" and I actually love this whole wedding. I knew I wanted it from the very beginning!! So pretty.

My Mom apparently knows a guy who can get us something like that . . . a tree guy I guess. If it works out I will be so excited!! YAY!!
